    • Whereas I agree with you to a degree, many linguists have been debating the difference between the two for many years, an argument which I see no end to. With some parties claiming they are different and others claiming they are almost indistiguishable. Either way, the fact is, both are incredibly similar in both form and style and both accomplish a similar goal. With that in mind I really don’t see a problem with the inclusion of them in this blog.

      Other people seem to be enjoying them so I guess the difference really doesn’t matter to the majority of people.

      Sorry if you’re annoyed, I just wanted to share enjoyable acts of linguistic wordplay.
